August 10 is World Lion Day. The International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List of Threatened Species lists lions as vulnerable and are decreasing in population. World Lion Day helps raise awareness of the conservation and sustainable solutions to protect the wild lion population.

- Donate: Lion Guardians’ conservation program is based on evidence-based strategies, and the integration of social and biological sciences, including traditional and indigenous knowledge.
- Adopt: World Wildlife Fund allows you to symbolically adopt a lion.
- Share: You can share data about lions so others can get involved.
