International Dance Day

April 29 is International Dance Day! Dancing is fun and good for us. Check out the New England Journal of Medicine’s report, Leisure Activities and the Risk of Dementia in the Elderly. It concludes: Participation in leisure activities is associated with a reduced risk of dementia, even after adjustment for base-line cognitive status and after the exclusion of subjects with possible preclinical dementia.

Have a happy day and dance a bit. It will probably do you good. 😊

I took this photo in Vanuatu when a woman performed a cultural dance for me to film. The seed pods hit against each other and make a rhythmic sound during the dance.
